This is a longer recording of the jungle just above soufriere. Some distant music from the town comes in along with a bit of spotty rain. Hope it's helpful to you in your projects, and let me know what you end up using it for :).

I've never heard so many frogs/peepers so deafeningly loud, persistent and oblivious to humans. I tried to record where the water was running but the animals drowned out the sound of the water. Beautiful sounds.

Inspired from the sniper scene in "saving private ryan,". These are sound recordings of a heavy storm that entered los angeles. A compressor and equalizer was added to emphasize the rain in the gutter. Used to your preference, add rocks, gun loading, battle etc and you'll have an award winning film. Recorded using a tascam dr07 mk2 x/y stereo config. 24bit 96khz, down-sampled to 16 bit wav. Feel free to credit,comment and suggest further recordings for your need. Severe thunderstorm arrived to pécel, hungary after the hot days on 8th of july 2015. It produced 15 mm of very intense rain and wind, and some lightning.

23rd july 2016 thunderstorm in pécel, hungary. My sony icd-ux512 dictaphone was under an experimental place, under a tree branch. This storm produced 10 milimeters of rain.

Really hard rain and hail--about the size of airsoft pellets/peas--with occasional rumbles of thunder. Early morning rain heard inside of a car in a busy parking lot. Sounds of people walking past, car doors opening and closing, cars pulling in and out, distant traffic on the surrounding roads going by including cars, trucks and busses. Occasional honks. A storm passing by in lenk, simmental, switzerland. Some rain and loud thunder at the beginning, then slowly fading out.

My first upload to freesound is a thunderstorm recorded in gateshead, uk, next to our open bathroom window. Some lovely thunderclaps and rain. Recorded on a zoom h5. There are also some household sounds swimming around in the background, doors closing, dishes clinking etc; i think you can hear the radio or something very faintly towards the end -- but there's plenty of clean usable thunder and rain in there. Incidentally i often use this type of thing in my long-form instrumental music, produced under the name conelrad. This is a field recording, done using a zoom h6 with attached stereo mic. The limiter (general type) was activated on the channel. This is the raw recording without any eq or dynamics added. A quick normalization gave a nice, rich signal that you might be able to use for any purpose. Apply a low pass filter to cut out the rain. Well, enjoy. :). More of this will be uploaded.

Last night, a strong rainstorm blew in. The wind chimes on my porch were so beautiful, i couldn't help but take a few recordings. Added reverb for a more dreamlike feel, faded the edges in and out for smoothness. Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated always! hope you like it.
